But There’s Value to be Found in MLB Wagers

Are you ready for another rollercoaster 162-game Major League Baseball season? The MLB is one of the sporting calendar’s best-loved and most exciting seasons. The games come thick and fast as 30 teams battle it across the regular season, aiming for the wins needed to make it to the post-season and the playoffs.

The action begins on 30th March and will run to the opening day of October. What goes on between those dates will be a white-knuckle ride for everyone involved. From the players and coaching staff to the officials and fans, 2023 promises to be a year unlike any other. There’s a real buzz of excitement in the air, with everyone holding a passion for baseball and eager to get started.

The fast-paced nature of the season, the unpredictability of games, and the followers’ passion make the MLB one of a kind. It’s perfectly suited to betting, and we’re seeing a spike in the number of wagers placed on baseball games and the MLB season winners. Bookies have responded, offering eye-catching betting odds and generous markets to all looking to get involved. Choose your team, make predictions, and place your MLB best bets.

MLB wagers

Bookies can’t decide

Before a ball has been tossed or a bat swung, the leading names from the gambling industry offer pre-season betting on the winner of the World Series. Traders evaluate the chances of each side and attach relevant betting odds. You can follow the bookies’ picks and back one of the early favorites at short odds or go for an outsider. Finding a dark horse worth backing is challenging, but the rewards outweigh the effort.

When looking at the World Series betting odds before the start of a campaign, we often find bookmakers coming down hard on a favorite with two or three expected to challenge. But this year will be different as those creating the lines in Vegas are at a loss to pick their team. The current betting is competitive, with just four points between the first seven in the betting list.

All major sportsbooks agree that the Houston Astros are the team to beat this term, but they aren’t the most convincing market leader you’ll ever see. Houston sits just ahead of Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, Toronto Blue Jays, and San Diego Padres. Traders are reluctant to jump the gun and put a line through the chances of those teams.

Tough season ahead for the Orioles

If the betting odds are to be believed, it’ll be another challenging season for the Baltimore Orioles and its fans. Bookies have the time available at around +500 to win the World Series, and if you aren’t familiar with betting odds, that’s almost insulting. In the nicest way possible, the betting industry is saying Baltimore doesn’t have a chance.

But that shouldn’t put you off supporting them this season if you think otherwise. Traders often get it wrong, and the pre-season odds are nothing more than their educated opinion. Yes, we know Baltimore will need its fair share of luck to get anything out of this season, but they can’t be written off before they begin. Are you willing to take a chance?

Orioles supporters can back their team to win the World Series for a small stake and still land a return worth shouting about if things go to plan. The odds are almost too good to ignore. But there are other ways to back Baltimore in the coming MLB season with markets available that will increase your chances of making a profit on your bets.

Odds are available on the American League winners, and we find a three-runner race in the betting with Houston just ahead of New York and Toronto. We must go to number eleven in the betting to find Baltimore. That means traders think Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Angels will perform better this term. Do you agree? Betting is available now.
