Orioles Podcast Feud: The Championship!

Reading Time: 2 minutes

It’s time to crown our Orioles Podcast Feud champion.

The Bat Around (Paul and Zack, entering 3-0) and Florida Prospect Report (Eric and Bailey, entering 4-1) duke it out for the title. Their paths to the championship matchup were different but their aspirations are the same.

For The Bat Around, it’s been relatively smooth sailing. They enter the championship undefeated, having breezed past MASN All Access, Section 336 Show, and The Warehouse Podcast along the way. Paul and Zack are playing with lots of confidence and consider themselves the team to beat.

On the other side, Florida Prospect Report lost their first matchup, which sent them down to the loser’s bracket. Since then, Eric and Bailey have won 4 straight to emerge from the lower bracket and claim their spot in the championship as the tournament’s Cinderella story. However, because they have one loss on their record, they will need to beat The Bat Around twice in order to be crowned champions.

Spoiler alert (because I kinda have to), they won the first game to force the tie breaking matchup. I still encourage you to watch, as it’s filled with fun survey prompts, including Orioles players with good hair and former players who could have been great if not for the injury bug.

I won’t spoil the championship. You can find out what happened below. With The Bat Around looking to bounce back from their first loss and Florida Prospect Report attempting to ride their momentum all the way to the end, it was a great battle.

Survey prompts included division titles, Rule 5 Draft picks, and guys named Ryan.

And there we have it. Congrats to our champion!

It’s been an absolute delight to host this tournament with so many great contestants. Thank you to The Bat Around, MASN All Access, Section 336 Show, Locked On Orioles, EuPod Street, The Warehouse Podcast, Florida Prospect Report, Talkin’ Birdy, and Bird’s Eye View for their participation.

For now, Paul and I will return to our normal show, bringing you (hopefully) weekly Orioles content for the duration of the season. We encourage you to follow us on Twitter and subscribe to our YouTube channel, links here:

Next offseason: in keeping with the game show theme, Orioles Jeopardy! And this time, you don’t need to have a podcast in order to be a contestant. I will do plenty of recruiting myself, but if you are interested in testing your Orioles trivia knowledge and participating in next off-season’s tournament on Give That Fan a Podcast, send us a DM on Twitter @GiveThatFanAPod.
