Reading Time: 2 minutes

After Monday’s off day, the O’s started their 21-games-in-20-days odyssey off on the right foot Tuesday night, getting the best of the Seattle Mariners, 9-4. The offensive explosion was a sight for sore eyes in Birdland after the team managed just five runs total in their previous three-game series with the Angels. The nine-run outburst was the second-most the O’s have scored in a game all year, trailing just their 18-run decimation of Boston on April 26.

Bundy’s Recent Outing Better than Advertised

You may have glanced at Dylan Bundy’s latest line for Bowie and grimaced (6 runs, 8 hits, 2 K in 2.0+ IP), but fret not! It wasn’t all that bad, as Steve Melewski explains. Consider it a “getting his work in” Spring Training-esque start, where the overall outcome is more than just the result on the scoreboard. Hopefully he rebounds nicely to continue what has, so far, been an encouraging season.

O’s Dreams of Draft Pick Windfall from Qualifying Offers Disappearing?

The one good thing about having as many quality free agents as the O’s will this offseason is that, with MLB’s new qualifying offer rules, they at least looked poised to rack up some draft picks once said FAs signed elsewhere after turning down their qualifying offers. Well, a key part of that is that the players need to have good seasons (looking at you, Bud & Chris) or well, play at all (Matt). Camden Chat’s Steve Damerell has more.

Bird’s Eye View Episode 122: Wright Puns

This week Jake & Scott are apparently too good to make Mike Wright puns (LAME), but you should give episode 122 a listen anyway. The guys are joined by Jeff Sullivan of FanGraphs, who seemingly has a new awesome article out every day. He talks with them about his recent Manny Machado and Steve Pearce pieces.

Adam Jones is Up to Something

Oh hey, look – something cool by Jeff Sullivan! While researching in preparation for his Bird’s Eye View appearance, Sullivan stumbled upon some Adam Jones statistics, and while he’s not quite sure what to make of them, they’re at least interesting!

10 Players Most Likely to be Dealt by the Trade Deadline

The Sporting News’ Ryan Fagan names his players most likely to get traded this summer, and there is a current Oriole as well as a former one on the list. Could “CRUZSH” be reunited?
