This was a big week in Birdland…well, not so much in Birdland as in Birdland South, Sarasota Florida. Here in Birdland proper, we’re once again being teabagged by the polar vortex (or something), constantly checking our pipes to make sure they’re not frozen, and dressing like eskimos to make the short walk to the car. However, down in The Sunshine State, pitchers and catchers finally reported, so spring really must be just around the corner.
Let’s take a look at some highlights from this week’s Eutaw Street Report contributors:
MLB broke tradition and is giving National League cities several All-Star games in a row, seemingly as a way to avoid the Orioles at any cost. Andrew Syropolous, like all O’s fans, is annoyed.
How Much Longer Must We Wait for a World Series?
Kirk Stoffel asks the question that plagues all O’s fans as we watch our 1983 World Series trophy collect more and more dust.
Drone Footage of Darren O’Day Throwing a Frisbee to his Dog
Steve Johnson brought a drone to Sarasota, apparently, and is goofing around with it.
Matt, Josh, and Bert had 105.7 the Fan’s Jerry Coleman on this week, for a great interview. Toss in the typical Orioles talk, and it’s another solid episode that’s well worth a listen.
5 Questions as Pitchers & Catchers Report
Joe Polek takes a look at five questions for the O’s as spring training kicks off.
