Another week of Orioles’ baseball, another round of stats! Happy Staturday!

We’ll get the sad stat of the week out of the way…as you’ve probably noticed, the Orioles’ rotation isn’t anything to boast about. Here’s some perspective:

Performances of 3+ ER in 6 IP or fewer, by a starter in 2016:

  1. Orioles, Twins – 37
  2. Padres, Rockies – 36

Luckily, the Os have had some of the hottest bats in June:

The Orioles thus far in June 2016 (MLB rank):

Runs – 134 (1st)

Hits – 216 (3rd)

HR – 44 (1st)

BA – .287 (T-2nd)

SLG % – .515 (1st)

In June, Jonathan Schoop’s bat has led the way for the Orioles:

Most hits by an Orioles’ batter in the last 22 games:

  1. Jonathan Schoop – 27
  2. Adam Jones – 26
  3. Manny Machado, Mark Trumbo – 24

And finally, an awesome reminder that Baltimore is “Dong City” and has been since 2012:

Home runs by team since 2012:

  1. Orioles – 967
  2. Blue Jays – 899
  3. Yankees – 823
  4. Rockies – 792
