Happy Staturday Birdland! Another week of Orioles’ baseball has passed and as always I have another round of awesome Orioles’ stats.

On Thursday, Mark Trumbo smacked a grand slam against the A’s. Turns out, the Orioles have been pretty good at that over the past few years:

Most grand slams since 2013:

  1. Orioles – 21
  2. Red Sox – 20
  3. Astros – 17
  4. Giants – 16

Last night, Dylan Bundy added to his string of impressive starts:

Dylan Bundy over his last 5 starts:

1.84 ERA, 15 H, 6 ER, 5 BB, 32 SO

In 2013 we saw Chris Davis hit quite a few balls into the left field stands. Last night, he gave us a blast from the past.

Number of opposite field HRs hit by Chris Davis:

2012 – 3

2013 – 8

2014 – 4

2015 – 3

2016 – 5 (one last night)

It’s become a weekly ritual to post about how absurd Zach Britton is. Here’s this week’s insanity:

Zach Britton hasn’t allowed an earned run in 40 consecutive appearances, the longest streak in MLB history.
