Reading Time: 2 minutes

Today on the show: Spring Training is coming down the final stretch and we discuss our hopes and concerns for the Orioles at this point in the (pre) season. Speaking of hopes, the Terps will put their hopes on the line as they take on Kansas in the Sweet Sixteen. And of course the episode would not be complete without another edition of Bert’s Baltimore Sports in Pop Culture…all that and more in this edition of Section 336.

Leading Off

Should the show stay on Tuesdays? Bert thinks it should always be on the O’s off day during the season. Birdland Radio is now less than two weeks away! Twelve straight hours of O’s talk from all your favorite local blogs and podcasts, with live video, live audio, phone calls (finally!), giveaways and more. Get more details at BirdlandRadio.com.

O’s Talk

Twitter was abuzz with talk about Dylan Bundy on Wednesday. Section 336 was talking about him weeks ago, but whatever! Matt says his performance in spring training – and all year – doesn’t really matter. All that matters is that he finishes the day…week…month…year healthy.

Miguel Gonzalez has a 12.56 ERA this spring. Opposing batters are hitting .420. Problem?

Kevin Gausman’s shoulder hurts. He says he dealt with the same tendinitis last year. Time to freak out?

Joey Rickard is killing it. Does he make the team? If so, how do we get him at bats? Jonathan Schoop has struck out just four times in 43 AB.

Matt Wieters is back in the lineup as a DH. Matt says people underestimate him and overestimate Caleb Joseph.

Baltimore Sports in Pop Culture

Don’t forget there will be TWO installments of Bert’s Game Time during Birdland Radio.

This week in Baltimore Sports in Pop Culture – House of Cards.

Terps Talk

Maryland plays Kansas in the Sweet 16 on Thursday night. Like, night night. LATE. Can Mark Turgeon beat his alma mater and get Maryland into the Elite 8 for the first time since their 2002 National Championship? The Jayhawks are 6.5-point favorites.

Ball Bag

NFL games in China – good idea/bad idea?

The Ravens’ suggested rule changes included more challenges and eligible players wearing a pinnie to indicate it. Other rule changes included touchbacks moving to the 20. Thoughts?

On Monday, Twitter turned 10. What were Section 336’s first tweets?

What Oriole are you most excited to watch this season?
