Dunkadelic Sports Marketing the Baltimore-area based sports marketing company has created the Baltimore Orioles version to the Baltimore Ravens “Purple Friday.”
Rally O’s Wednesdays” will be the official day that fans wear Baltimore Orioles baseball gear to work and to school to support the team in a quest to win the World Series. It’s been 30-years (1983) since the Orioles last won a World Series Championship.
Friday has become a popular rally day by football fans in support of the Ravens. The Ravens are the defending Super Bowl XLVll Champions.
There are 25-Rally O’s Wednesdays on the 2013 season. 13 of the Rally O’s Wednesdays are on home game days. The first home game on Rally O’s Wednesdays will be April 17th vs. the Tampa Bay Rays.
Derrick E. Vaughan of Dunkadelic Sports Marketing says, “Rally O’s Wednesdays will be just as popular or even more so than Purple Friday. During the Summer months fans have more free time to come out to the park. Kids are out of school. With Rally O’s Wednesdays falling on 13 home game days the Orioles can create fan specials to help promote the O’s rally day. The bars, pubs, and local area restaurants can benefit from it as well. ESPN has Wednesday Night Baseball what a cool scene it will be to have the entire country watch the O’s play ball on Rally O’s Wednesdays.
