Reading Time: 2 minutes

We got an unexpected double header this weekend thanks to Ma Nature’s ongoing precipitation party, and while she gave us a warm & sunny Mother’s Day, it looks like it’s right back to dreary town for Charm City today. Our Birds have flown out to Minnesota for a three-game set though, so they should be able to get some baseball in undis…oh.

Weather forecast for Minneapolis.

Awesome. Let’s hit the links.

The Lawsuit That Won’t Go Away: The Nats, O’s, and MASN

If you haven’t been paying too much attention to the MASN court case, I can’t really blame you. It’s been going on for what seems like a decade (actually just four years, and is that really any surprise, given that Peter Angelos is involved?) and every “development” just seems to be so much more legalese. Nathaniel Grow of Fangraphs has a rundown of the latest “developments,” but concludes, of course, that “it doesn’t yet appear that the end of the MASN litigation is anywhere in sight.”

Orioles’ Duquette Confirms Interest in Lincecum

The O’s were indeed at Tim Lincecum’s “showcase” on Friday, though Dan Duquette also told MLB Network Radio, per Dan Toman of The Score, that he doesn’t expect “The Freak” to sign anywhere east of the Mississippi River. No real surprise here.

Left Fielder, Christian Walker

Christian Walker famously moved from first base to left field this spring after the Birds locked up Chris Davis long-term and also added Mark Trumbo and Pedro Alvarez. So, how’s Walker doing playing left field in Norfolk? Joe Reisel of Camden Depot has watched and scored 10 Tides games this season, and he tries to make some sense of what he’s seeing from CW in LF.

Trumbo Talks About Trout, Machado, and the Fans

Mark Trumbo has been teammates with both Mike Trout and Manny Machado, and tells Steve Melewski of MASN that “they wow you, each and every day.” He also says that the team fed off the energy of the packed house on Mother’s Day, so hopefully we see more crowded stands at Oriole Park here in the coming weeks.

Ridealong Sunday #1: Drunk Lumberjacks

The Baltimorons are back! For one day, at least. Sam and Alan recorded their first episode in way too long on Sunday afternoon during the game. Relive the awesomeness that was Sunday’s drubbing of the Oakland Athletics with the B-Morons. A great idea, and one that I hope becomes a regular show.

And in Ravens news…

Rookie Mini-Camp Notes

Ken McKusick of Russell Street Report attended the open session of rookie minicamp this weekend, and while he wasn’t able to learn too much by watching a pad-less practice, there was one characteristic of first-round pick Ronnie Stanley that really caught his eye.
