Reading Time: 2 minutes

After dropping the first game of their “home” away series on Friday night, the Birds rebounded to take two of three from the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field. They’re off today before heading to CitiField for three against the Mets and then Yankee Stadium for a weekend series.

Here’s some O’s reading for you on yet another day with no baseball. Lot of those lately…

Brady Anderson on Analytics

And you thought Brady was just a pretty face! Check out David Laurila’s interview with the Orioles’ VP of Baseball Operations on Fangraphs, and you’ll be glad Brady Anderson is on our side – he seems to really grasp this whole analytics thing.

Baltimorons Episode 122 – Forward

Sam and Alan are joined by Travis Waldron of Think Progress after a turbulent week in Baltimore. If you’ve been a Baltimorons fan for a while like I have, you know that Sam & Alan are able to speak intelligently on far more than just sports, which makes last week’s show all the more enjoyable.

Buy Caleb Joseph’s Fake Autograph

You can go to eBay and bid on the fake autograph Caleb Joseph “signed” last week. The internet is silly.

When Will Wieters Return to O’s Lineup?

Not that we need him all that much, with Caleb Joseph out there being awesome every day, but MLB.com’s Britt Ghiroli reports on the rehab of Matt Wieters. Britt answers some other questions in her mailbag as well, including the one you keep hearing “Why didn’t the Rays and O’s just swap home series?”

De Aza on the Hot Seat?

Sooner or later (hopefully sooner), the Birds will be getting guys like J.J. Hardy and Ryan Flaherty back, at which point the roster crunch will again be a problem. A guy like Alejandro De Aza (or “K Aza,” as I’ve taken to calling him) could find himself a casualty because of his slow start. Alex Conway of Camden Chat has more.
