The Delmarva Shorebirds battled back, but it was not enough in a 6-4 defeat to the Kannapolis Intimidators. Delmarva (44-39, 6-8) scored three runs in the ninth inning to bring the tying run to the plate. However, the Intimidators escaped the hold on for their eighth straight win.
