In the fourth inning of the O’s win over the New York Yankees on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball the other night, O’s ace-in-the-making Chris Tillman made a pretty slick play.
On a comebacker from Lyle Overbay, it first appeared as though the ball would skip behind Tilly. If it had, shortstop J.J. Hardy was likely in position to make the play anyway, but Tillman had other ideas for the national audience.
Whipping his glove behind him, Chris somehow snared the ball and tossed to Chris Davis for the easy out.

Annoyingly, Chicago White Sox starter John Danks made a similar play while shutting down the Birds in their 5-2 series-opening loss to the pale hose last night.
