Orioles pitcher Kevin Gausman will make his season debut with the big club on Wednesday afternoon against Detroit, the team announced on Tuesday.
It’s an interesting move considering that the young fireballer has been on a pitch count limit of around 75 with the Norfolk Tides this season, and has made only one start after a brief DL stint caused by pneumonia.
Regardless, it’ll be great to see “The Gas Man,” who has thrown 14 1/3 consecutive scoreless innings at AAA, back with the O’s. Here’s hoping he puts his flag in the rotation right now and it’s not in question again for years to come.
Now I just wish he’d use this for his warm up music (slightly tweaked, of course):
