Here’s a bit of odd Baltimore sports news on this dreary Friday in Charm City.
Current Baltimore Orioles center fielder and face of the franchise Adam Jones has reportedly moved into the house formerly occupied by Ravens fans’ public enemy #1, Cam Cameron.
Per the Baltimore Business Journal:
Give Adam Jones a congratulatory Boh and Berger cookie, because the Orioles center fielder is now officially a Baltimore-area resident.
Jones purchased a 6,600-square-foot home along Falls Road in Lutherville on March 13, according to state records. The two-time All-Star paid $1.75 million for the 3.5-acre Baltimore County home.
Jones purchased the house from another prominent Baltimore sports figure — former Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, state records show. Cameron purchased the house for $1.5 million in July 2011.
It doesn’t seem like any of the bad vibes from Cameron’s offensive ineptitude are carrying over to Jones, who is hitting a blistering .375 to start the 2013 campaign.
I don’t know if Jones has moved into his new digs yet, but he’d better be prepared to scrub some dried up egg off the front walls (deposited by angry Ravens fans over the years) as well as to hear the occasional “RUN THE BALL!” screamed at his house from drivers who just made it part of their daily routine and are having trouble breaking it.
Anyway, congrats to Adam on his new home.
