The Delmarva Shorebirds (9-5) scored eight runs in the fifth inning to defeat the Kannapolis Intimidators (7-7) 9-4 on Wednesday afternoon at CMC-Northeast Stadium. The Shorebirds went 5-2 on the first road trip including a series sweep of Kannapolis. The Shorebirds recorded 11 hits, a fifth straight game with at least ten hits.
