Reading Time: 2 minutes

Dylan Bundy’s sparkling start set the tone, and the Birds’ power bats finally woke up on Tuesday night. Bundy out-dueled Texas’ Yu Darvish, and the Orioles won their second straight. Hopefully Kevin Gausman was paying attention and can bounce back from his disastrous outing in Toronto tonight. It won’t get any easier for the offense, as Cole Hamels toes the slab for Texas. Here’s to getting tonight’s game, sealing the series win, and having a chance to sweep in Wade Miley’s O’s debut Thursday.

To the links.

Answer to Orioles’ Rotation Question was on the Team All Along

CBS’s Dayn Perry says nice things about Bundy. He notes that his change-up has become arguably his best pitch, despite the fact that he didn’t have it until he turned pro, and even then he didn’t really want it. Worth clicking over just to watch the video of a 19-year-old Bundy’s Uncle Charlie making onlookers gasp.

Orioles Reacquire Lefty-Masher Steve Pearce

Speaking of Hamels, the O’s brought in some much-needed ammo against lefties in the form of old friend Steve Pearce, who will be in the lineup tonight. Craig Edwards of FanGraphs details Pearce’s long history of mashing LHP, which is the main reason our writers were generally very happy to have him back.

Newcomers Miley, Pearce Delighted to Join First-Place O’s

Click on over to Fox Sports to read quotes from Miley and Pearce, transcribed at yesterday afternoon’s press conference with Dan Duquette. Maybe by the time you do, they’ll have fixed their headline:

O’s Uncensored’s Dillon Atkinson, writing at MASN, makes the case for Pearce & Miley, for those of you who, for whatever reason, may remain unconvinced.

Three Interesting Things About Wade Miley

Maybe Wade Miley isn’t really interesting enough to warrant three links out of today’s five. Who’s to say? Ryan Romano of Camden Depot, in another MASN guest column, lists and explains three interesting points about Miley’s style that he noticed – he pitches righties & lefties very differently, he is excellent at holding runners, and…well, you’ll just have to click, won’t you?

And in Ravens news…

The Terrance West Story

Former Towson running back Terrance West is trying to make the Ravens in 2016 after joining them late last season. Tony Lombardi traces West’s journey from Northwestern High School in Baltimore, through his time with the Tigers, Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans and now with the Ravens. With Trent Richardson already jettisoned, West’s chances continue to improve as long as he can stay focused.
