In honor of the Orioles’ #IChallengeAJ contest, I have a confession to make: I have been sandbagging you guys this whole time. About three years ago, the same year Oriole Park at Camden Yards announced the now-defunct Gino’s, they also added some menu items to what was, at the time, The Jack Daniels Grill. Nestled just inside gate A on the field side of Eutaw Street, stand, which is now called the Eutaw Street Grill, still sits.

A map of amenities at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

The map on the Orioles.com website lists it near the flag court, but it is actually located much closer to gate A.

As you see on the menu above (or maybe you can’t – sorry that it’s a bit blurry. Just trust me.), they offer items not found anywhere else in the park (though I do realize you can get the Bacon on a Stick at Dempsy’s). You’ll also notice on that list, one item that perhaps you can’t automatically decipher from its name:

The Triple Crown Sandwich

The Triple Crown is hands-down the best thing sold in the entire park. In fact, not only do I challenge you to find literally ANYTHING better being served, this is the item to which I challenge Adam Jones #IChallengeAJ.

Adam Jones and Wayne Kirby at the Grill at Boog's.

That’s right AJ, you’re going to need to do more than stand around, hands on hips, watching Wayne Kirby do all of your dirty work!

The Triple Crown is a monstrosity that leaves you completely satisfied. At its $12 price point, it is truly the absolute best bang-for-your-buck item in the park.

So what is it? Well, they take a footlong sub roll, top it with an Italian sausage, pile pulled pork high, and then – and this is the piece de resistance – they throw on a meaty slice of the bacon they use for bacon on a stick (sans stick, obviously).

That’s right, it takes three of the best things offerings from the entire park and puts them together to make your mouth happier than if you were to find yourself playing tonsil hockey with Amber Theoharris (or Rock Kubatko, for you ladies…I think, anyway?)

Hot dog and toppings in a tray.

MMM, Ms. Theoharris.

Pro tip: As seen in the picture above, they top it off with BBQ sauce. Do yourself – and your favorite Orioles jersey – a favor and ask to have the BBQ on the side. It makes things WAAAAAAAY too messy! As far as taste is concerned, I wholeheartedly give this sandwich ALL 5 MEATY HEADS POSSIBLE!

five of five carne logos.

P.S. I miss you Amber. Please come back.
