I’m thinking today’s Orioles lineup is one we should start getting used to.

And if you do the math, Tillman’s next scheduled start would be on (1, 2, 3, 4) Wednesday, followed by (1, 2, 3, 4) Monday, Opening Day. The Blue Jays aren’t in town, so sounds good to me!
What up in the Bird O’sphere on this fine (if chilly) Friday?
What a Monster Year from Schoop Might Look Like
I mean, we don’t need a “monster” year from Jonathan Schoop this season; a steady progression and improvement over last year would be just fine, but that doesn’t mean it’s not fun to dream a bit. That dude can mash, so what would it look like if he really put it together at the dish in 2016? Paul Sporer takes a look for Baltimore Sports & Life.
Gausman Gives Update on Shoulder
Kevin Gausman got his cortisone injection on Sunday, and it’s now Friday. So, how was he feeling yesterday? Rich Dubroff of CSN Mid-Atlantic has the quotes. Just make peace with him starting the season on the DL now. Sigh.
Previewing the 2016 Baltimore Orioles Hitters
Connor Guercio of Baltimore Sports Report runs down the Orioles’ hitters one by one, reviewing their 2015 seasons and opining on how things could shake out in 2016. Like everyone else, Connor assumes that this team will be very fun to watch, although of course frustrating at times.
With Brian Matusz looking like he’ll start the season on the DL, the Birds signed Zach Phillips this week. Can he effectively replace Matusz in the bullpen? Joe Reisel of Camden Depot looks back at Phillips’ 2012 season, when he saw plenty of the pitcher in person, and concludes that there is reason to be optimistic. And hey, he might be able to get righties out too. Useful.
