Reading Time: 3 minutes

Everyone is back in studio and we have a lot to talk about! New Storytime, Josh went to a couple ballgames this weekend, Matt learned how to use Twitter, Bert went to a birthday party, and Ubaldo Jimenez pitched a gem. So much is going on we decided to release the episode a day early!

Leading Off

Don’t forget to pick up your tickets to Section 336 Obscure Orioles Night at the Yard! In addition, Section 336 LIVE will be at Buffalo Wild Wings White Marsh Thursday April 23. We’ll be watching the O’s take on the Blue Jays in Toronto and giving away a pair of Birds tickets as well.

Matt learned how to use Twitter, asking the Tweeps where to eat when he goes to Baltimore to see Wicked next weekend.

Ubaldo’s gem has the guys talking reckless about who the best pitcher in the rotation is.

O’pening Day

The weather ruined some plans on Friday for the O’s home opener, and Josh had to scramble to find someone to take his extra ticket. Matt wasn’t an option, being stuck on a school bus full of eighth graders, and Bert was out of town. The OPACY staff probably had a lot of fun Friday evening pulling down those silly clings from every corner of the stadium.

Bert defends his boy Big Bad Bud, who made the home opener a bit tough to watch, what with his 24.00 ERA and all. Bert didn’t realize that North Carolina is still MASN territory, so he couldn’t even watch the game.

Are you concerned about the starting pitching in general yet? Are the pitchers finally regressing to the mean (and what those silly projections say they should be)?

Sunday No Fun Day

Another season, another rough start for those fans that have the Sunday 13-game plan. Josh saw Jake & Scott from Bird’s Eye View in Section 336, and then a fan (John Young) of both shows actually asked all the guys for an autograph – Josh made it a little awkward, but now he has an “official” 336 signature.

If only he’d practiced his signature on baseballs as a kid, like Bert.

Damn Yankees

Winning this series against the Yankees would be ideal, but so far, not so good. As the guys were recording this, the bullpen imploded once again and the O’s dropped the opener 6-5. We’ll be out Tuesday in Section 334 – come say hi and get a new sticker.

This Week in Orioles History

Minnick has some more O’s history for you, touching on Brady Anderson’s record-setting week, Cal Ripken Jr., and a key week in 1954.

Bert’s Storytime

Bert’s Storytime is back, with one that’s a little personal, but he had to step up his game after Carne brought the storytime last week.

Bert went to a pretty cool toddler’s birthday party, believe it or not.

Ball Bag

The O’s sold the Dodgers a draft pick – what up with that?

Why can’t Ryan Webb find a job?

Do the O’s value their draft picks enough?

Remember, next Thursday night, Buffalo Wild Wings White Marsh for Section 336 LIVE!
