Remember last winter when we all got way too excited about this picture?
Prior to signing either Ubaldo Jimenez (another one that we got duped on) and Nelson Cruz (one that many of us didn’t get excited enough about, as it turned out), the O’s were rumored to be in on an international pitcher, and they eventually picked up pitcher Suk-Min Yoon from South Korea.
He signed for three years and $5.575M, but will apparently not be fulfilling that contract.
Today, quoting reports out of that country, the O’s beat folks say that Yoon and the Birds are parting ways.
Reports out of Korea indicate Suk-min Yoon and #Orioles are parting ways. #OriolesTalk

Eduardo Encina of The Baltimore Sun says that he is “hearing Yoon was disappointed he wasn’t invited to big league spring training, especially with the Orioles track record of giving opportunity.”
Yoon spent all of 2014 in AAA Norfolk, appearing in 23 games and posting a 5.74 ERA.
As our own Karl Magenhofer put it: they can’t all be winners.
