The Birds have taken the first two games of the four-game set with Texas, and while that’s nice and all, a sweep would be absolutely gorgeous. It would go a long way to erasing the 1-3 weekend vs. Tampa from our minds, and give the team a very respectable 7-4 home stand.
The Rangers are absolutely listless, and the O’s have outscored them 15-4 through two games. Unfortunately, none of that means anything going into tonight, when Texas is running out a guy making his first major league start – a prospect that gives Orioles fans hives.
Hopefully the bats can stay hot and Chris Tillman can shut down the Ranger bats just like Ubaldo Jimenez and T.J. McFarland (!!!) before him. I mean, if those two can do it, a guy we’re only a few months removed from calling our “ace” surely can, right?
Right??
Gotta win tonight to even think about the “s” word. Get it done, Birds.
