Craigslist can be a nightmare or a gold mine.
At one point in my life, I had gotten my job AND the house I was renting via the online classifieds. I have two purebred dogs that I got for no charge on Craigslist. I got two cheap kayaks years ago for a very good price, and my wife and I still use them today.
Of course, there are also plenty of horror stories.
You should probably avoid looking for a date on there, for instance.
However, there are plenty of gems to be found.
Like this one, for instance, that Thomas Payne posted to our ESR Facebook page:
Vintage Orioles’s Usher’s Cap from 50’s-60’s. This item almost never becomes available. Last one I saw sold in 2003 for $160 (see link). This is a size 6 7/8.

Get out those wallets, O’s collectors!
But be sure to take somebody with you when you go pick up the cap, and meet in a public place for crying out loud!
