Former Orioles pitcher Kris Benson has been long forgotten in Baltimore, last pitching for the Orioles in 2006. However, his name has been in the news recently, and as is often the case, it’s not for something good.

A week after his ex-wife Anna was arrested for bursting into his house, demanding $30,000 while wielding a gun, metal baton and wearing a bulletproof vest, she’s back in the news once again.

Hear Kris Benson’s 911 call here.

As reported by the New York Daily News, Anna Benson (surname Warren) the former topless dancer turned baseball wife and FHM’s former “Baseball’s Hottest Wife,” was also featured on America’s Most Wanted, as a fugitive.

In 1996, Anna Warren was part of a nationwide search along with Paul Dejongh, her boyfriend at the time, for the murder of Michael Evans, who was executed in the couple’s apartment.

Warren allegedly told her boyfriend to “get rid of him,” referring to Evans, who was always at the couple’s apartment partying with friends.

Following the killing, the couple fled for five months before Warren was arrested in Portland, Oregon. Two months later, Dejongh was caught near Atlanta, convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to 21 years in prison. Dejongh later would parish behind bars.

Prosecutors determined that Warren wasn’t the killer and dropped murder charges against her, ultimately charging her with being an accessory to murder, a charge which was also dropped.

The latest bit of news (likely known by Kris Benson) is just the icing on the cake for the former fugitive exotic dancer who happened to marry a millionaire baseball player. It was Anna’s actions while Benson was a member of the New York Mets that Benson believes led to him being traded to Baltimore for pitchers Jorge Julio and John Maine.

Anna is a world-class nutjob, and sadly her actions continue to tarnish and embarrass the former first-overall pick in the MLB draft.

Here’s the reenactment that was featured on AMW:
