The inspired minds who brought us the Crush Davis shirts in May have struck again, as the Orioles have announced another very cool giveaway, the Nate McLouth “Base Bandit” t-shirt.

McLouth, who has already set a career-high with 24 stolen bases, is currently third in the American League in swipes.

This new shirt pays homage to his stealthy nature, and is more than a bit reminiscent of “Dash” from the movie “The Incredibles,” which fans have been calling Nate for a while now.

The giveaway is on July 9 against the Texas Rangers, when the first 10,000 fans 15 and over will get the shirt.

If Crush Davis shirt night was any indication, I’d suggest that you get there early. Hopefully McLouth can take a page from Davis’ book and steal three or four bases on the night he’s honored.

  1. Got to the game early for Crush Davis t-shirt night but they were all gone. Guess the same will happen with this promotion. With the O’s bringing in the crowd and there are only 10,000 shirts to be given away, do you think someone could sell them to the fans who aren’t lucky enough to be in the first wave of the crowd to go through the gates?

  2. Yes, Orioles fans would love to be able to purchase these shirts that are made especially to honor the players. Great idea but please share with all the fans that are unable to attend the games…
