On Saturday, J.J. Hardy hit his first home run in 87 games, 338 AB, since September 5, 2013. He was grinning as he rounded the bases, glad to finally have the monkey off his back.

He also knew that he was most likely going to get the silent treatment from his teammates when he made it back to the dugout, so he was concocting a celebration of his own.

Hardy didn’t want to just do what Chris Davis did – high five imaginary teammates – so he came up with his own individual “Hardy Party.”
