Pitchers and catchers officially report Thursday, but some of the guys are already in Sarasota hanging out. Two of them are, apparently, Darren O’Day and Steve Johnson.
On his Instagram page today, Johnson let it be known that he’s a bit of a drone enthusiast. He used his contraption to get some video of O’Day tossing a frisbee to his dog. That’s pretty cool, considering my favorite pitch of O’Day’s is the one I call the “frisbee.” His dog has much better luck catching up to it than do most right-handed hitters.
On another note, just look at that perfect green grass and that gorgeous Ed Smith Stadium complex. Come onnnnn, Spring Training!
