There is baseball weather in Baltimore on February 24, which is cool for us, but probably terrible for our kids and grandkids. It’s at least appropriate for the moment though, as the O’s play their first “real” fake game of Spring Training today, taking on the Detroit Tigers at 1 PM. In the meantime, let’s see what’ up in the Blog-O’sphere.

Inside Baseball with Jon Heyman: Final Offseason Grades
Jon Heyman gives the O’s a higher-than-expected grade for their offseason. We’ll see…
Playing Pepper: 2017 Baltimore Orioles
As he does every year, Cardinals blogger Daniel Shoptow invited ESR and some other O’s bloggers to talk about the Birds in his season preview series “Playing Pepper.” Domenic Vadala of the Orange Crush, Jon Shepherd of Camden Depot, and Tony Pente of Orioles Hangout and I mostly agreed on the big points. We all chose a different favorite Oriole though, which was a nice surprise.
That’s it for today – let’s call it an early Friday and get to the weekend and some baseball!
