Sunny and Hot for O’s-Red Sox

The weather will be quite pleasant for the opening game and middle game of the Red Sox weekend series with Friday evening’s game featuring very comfortable temperatures. We’ll warm up a bit for Saturday and Sundays game. A storm system may move in late Sunday but it should hold off until after the game is complete. Rain May Cut O’s-Jays Series Short

The weather should be quite pleasant for the opening and middle game of the Blue Jays series. We’ll watch Wednesday just in case showers move in earlier than expected but it should hold off until well after last pitch. Thursday is the most likely day to feature rain showers as a disturbance will move in from the southwest. However, it looks like most of the showers will be during the day with decreasing chances at night. There could be a delay to start Thursday but ultimately the game may be […]

Weather Looks Good for O’s-Yankees

The upcoming week features a long four-game set with the New York Yankees coming to town. With the traditional 7:05 start time Monday-Wednesday the weather looks to cooperate for all these start times with just a chance of a storm today but before the designated start time. If there is a game that may be affected by weather it would be Thursday but with the get-away day start time of 12:35, it should allow time to get the game in before afternoon and evening storms build in from the west. […]

Rain Likely to Impact Series vs. Angels

Once again, this weekend’s forecast will be challenging as another storm system will be providing showers and storms throughout the weekend. It looks like, at this time, the best game to attend will be Saturday’s, as precipitation should stay to Baltimore’s south, and should hold off to allow for the game thanks to the 4:05 start time. Both this evening’s game and Sunday’s game may present challenges as higher chances of showers will be present. Sunday is the most likely game to be affected, as heavier showers look likely until […]

Tampa Not Bringing Rays of Sunshine to OPACY

The Birds are in for a challenge this weekend with the impressive Rays coming to town. They aren’t the only ones though: we forecasters have our work cut out for us as well. A storm system tracking into the Ohio Valley and Mid Atlantic will produce rounds of shower and thunderstorm activity from Friday afternoon until Sunday Morning. Exactly when these rounds occur is tough to say, and will determine what (if any) impacts they have on the games. At this time, at least a delay appears likely at some […]

Weather Looks Great for O’s-White Sox

The weather looks pretty good for the entire three-game set with the White Sox series, as there is only a very slight chance of a shower Tuesday evening but it’s unlikely to affect the game much. Enjoy and Go Os! Rain Will Impact Weekend Series vs. Twins

distant view from stadium seats of camden yards at night
Tonight’s game is likely to be a rainout, as showers and thunderstorms will become likely this afternoon and evening. The weather should improve significantly tomorrow with some sun and dry conditions but it could be a bit on the breezy side. Easter Sunday is likely to be more cloudy and I can’t rule out a shower, but the Orioles should be able to get the game in. Rain Could Delay Start of O’s-A’s

view of outfield during orioles game with clusters of clouds overhead
Doesn’t look like we have to worry about any postponements this week, however. The best weather for the four-game set with Oakland will be Wednesday and Thursday with sunny skies both days. Thursday is an early “get away day” game at 12:35pm so hopefully that nice weather will bring out some fans! The game that will have the highest chance of a potential ran shower will be tonight, but it doesn’t look like it will be enough to postpone the game. At most, a delayed start if a shower/thunderstorm is […]

Weather Looks Warm & Dry for O’pening Series

collage of group pictures from baltimore orioles opening day
The weather actually looks quite similar for all three games of the New York Yankees series. The home opener will feature times of sun and clouds with temps in the low 60s during the game. Saturday appears to be set up for similar weather but with it being a night game, temps will drop into the 50s once the sun sets. Sunday looks to be the warmest of the three, but we need to keep an eye on a storm system to our west. If it speeds up, it could […]

Forecast for O’pening Day Improves

sun setting over camden yards
Great News! The coastal storm that has been mentioned will stay far enough off the coast and move quickly enough to not effect the weather for opening day! We should be in between storm systems allowing for times of sun and clouds with temps in the upper 50s to low 60s. Thursday April 4 Times of clouds and sun First pitch temp: 60F GFS Model outlook for Orioles Home Opener Images from GFS model showing rain to our northwest but dry for the Baltimore region. Temperatures should range from the […]

Orioles Home Opener Forecast – 1 Week Out

collage of group pictures from baltimore orioles opening day
The forecast for the Orioles “Away Opener” against the Yankees has worked out well, as first pitch today was around 50F with partly cloudy skies. Now let’s take a closer look at the Orioles’ home opener. The home opener weather will depend on a coastal storm that will develop and track north early next week. This will provide rain early in the week. In order for O’pening Day to be a nice day, we need this to move well off the coast by Thursday. Thursday April 4 Times of clouds […]

Orioles Opening Day(s) Forecast

sun setting over camden yards
Orioles “Opening Away Day” vs. Yankees   Thursday March 28 Partly Cloudy First pitch temp: 50F GFS Model outlook for “Opening Away Day”. Images from GFS model showing dry conditions and temps around 50 for NYC. All models showing dry conditions so confidence in this forecast is high.   Orioles Home Opener “First Look” It appears that a warmer weather pattern will be in place, but the first week of April looks potentially stormy for the U.S. For good opening day weather we have to hope that the Baltimore area […]
