Happy Staturday Birdland! It’s been a rocky week for the Orioles but stat-wise they’ve done some pretty cool things. Let’s get to it!

On Wednesday Manny turned 24 and we showcased his stats in a previous post. Here’s an impressive one that didn’t make it:

With 198 extra-base hits as a third baseman, Manny Machado has the fifth most XBH by any third baseman before age 24.

Mark Trumbo leads Major League Baseball in home runs and he’s gotten there by hitting them in groups:

In 2016, Mark Trumbo has five multi-home run games, the most in the majors.

Here’s some perspective on how mediocre the Orioles starters have been the past few years and how dominant Clayton Kershaw has been:

Starts going seven or more innings since 2013… Orioles top-three combined (Tillman, Chen, Gonzalez): 84, Kershaw: 83

Last night Adam Jones launched a home run on the first pitch, which is rare feat:

Adam Jones became just the fifth Oriole to homer off the first pitch from opposition. He joins Brian Roberts, Brady Anderson, Phil Bradley, & Pete Stanicek.
