The O’s allowed five runs again, because of course they did, but Manny Machado’s huge game, a clutch double from Adam Jones, and a bullpen that FINALLY shut things down was enough to help them pull back to .500. Two more against the Indians doesn’t sound like much fun, but it’s what we’ve got in front of us.

Orioles Attendance is Up 10.2% This Year
Well that’s surprising. I suppose that, even though Baltimore is, by the data, even more dangerous than it was last year (or any time in recent memory…sigh), thoughts of the Freddie Gray riots are now far enough in the rearview mirror that more skittish suburbanites are trekking to the ballpark than at this time a year ago. With the way the team is playing though, will this increase in attendance hold up?
