Jon Heyman of Today’s Knuckleball and FanRag Sports (formerly of CBS, so yes, he has reliable MLB sources), the Orioles and Mariners have agreed upon a trade that would send lefty Wade Miley to Baltimore (pending medicals of course!).
Miley, 29, is 7-8 with a 4.98 ERA for Seattle this year. Over parts of six MLB seasons, he is 56-54 with a 4.07 ERA. He pitched in the AL East for Boston in 2015, going 11-11 with a 4.46 ERA. He’s pitched well lately, putting up a 3.45 ERA in July. In June, he had a 7.40 ERA, so make of it what you will.
Miley faced the Birds back on May 17, going 6.0 innings and allowing no runs on two hits. So, hopefully he’s just great at OPACY?
Per Ken Rosenthal, the O’s are giving up AAA pitcher Ariel Miranda.

Miranda, 27, has a 3.93 ERA in 19 GS at AAA. Also made one appearance for #Orioles. Signed out of Cuba in 2015. Only player in deal.

Miley is under contract through 2017, so this isn’t a “rental.”
Hey, trading with Seattle usually works out pretty well for the Orioles, right?
